Large Sunny Room in Mt Pleasant Row Home for Rent Starting July 1

(Open to mid-July move in or summer sublease)

We are seeking to welcome a new housemates to join our community home in Mt. Pleasant!

This a large room on the 2nd floor of a row home nestled on Park Rd in the leafy, lively neighborhood of Mt. Pleasant, just a stone's throw from Rock Creek Park.

We enjoy front and back porches, a yard with a garden, and an unfinished basement w/ laundry. The room has a large closet, a private balcony and shares a bathroom with 2 other housemates. The rent is $1250 per month, and utilities, split evenly 5 ways, come to roughly $75/month. The lease is month to month, we are ideally looking for someone to join us long term, but open to a subleaser for July and August.

We believe that social change begins with interpersonal relationships, so our home is a compassionate and nurturing space where shared values of compassion and sustainability shape our home life. We often open our doors to neighbors and friends for dinners, dialogues, community circles, and good old-fashioned house parties.

We are four women in our mid-20s to early 30s, working in environmental justice, peacebuilding, food access, and clinical psychology; with shared passions for intentional community building, trying new things, and the natural world.

We have a mix of WFH and hybrid work set-ups, and can often be found around the breakfast table sharing coffee or a meal.

In housemates, we’re looking for woman identifying in their mid 20s -30s. Our space is proudly queer and BIPOC-friendly, and we value open, honest, and respectful communication.

Unfortunately, our landlady does not allow pets and this is a non-smoking household. We are on/a close walk to many bus routes, and a 20 min walk from both Green line (Columbia Heights) and Red line (Cleveland Park)
